The Village of Indian Hill (actually a city) is home to many of the area's most prominent citizens and leaders. Almost 6,000 residents occupy almost 20 square miles of beautifully rolling wooded hillsides. The main streets follow the old Native American trails. Lots are one or five acre tracts and residents may have horses. Indian Hill has its own water supply, fire department, and the Indian Hill Rangers to keep its citizens safe. Indian Hill Schools serve almost 2,300 students with almost 200 teachers. There are also private schools such as Cincinnati Country Day located in the area. The city was incorporated in 1941 after some affluent city residents began acquiring summer homes in the area to get away from the city heat and enjoy the rural atmosphere on weekends. Greenbelt areas meander through and around most of the city, thanks to generous bequests from many residents. In fact, now almost a quarter of the land in Indian Hill is green space. The median value of the 2,100+ homes in Indian Hill in 2000 was over $700,000. That statistic alone tells quite a story! Request my Free Cincinnati, Mason and Loveland Relocation Package. Relocation >Moving Companies
Contacting different moving companies is one of the first steps in moving to a new house. You will find a variety of service options and price ranges from which to choose, whether you are moving across town or thousands of miles across the country.
Call several companies for estimates. Ask each company exactly how their charges are calculated and what is included. How much insurance is included in the estimate? What is the cost for additional coverage? Are there special provisions for fragile or unusually valuable items? Is the delivery date guaranteed?
If economizing is important to you, ask if there are ways to cut down on the cost by providing your own boxes and packing your household goods by yourself. Household movers are competitive, and comparison shopping can help you get the best value for your moving dollars.
